SCAD art preparator, Creative Coast Gallery co-director and every media artist Benjamin C. Stanley enjoys the sound of the buzz in the air that is Fashion’s Night Out Savannah. Stanley will feature Brian Jolly, manager of Half-Moon Outfitters, outdoorsman and mayor of Broughton Street for the Savannah Windows project. Not unlike the sound of his last name, “Brian is one of the nicest, most friendly you’ll ever meet and he shows a great deal of enthusiasm for our fine city.”

Kay Wolfersperger’s big love for all things Savannah is apparent as she co-directs The Creative Coast Gallery , creates wonders at SCAD’s Working Class Studio and, for the Savannah Windows, develops works based on Savannah fashion boy-wonder Kyle Millsap and Savannah enthusiast Barry Karlin. ”Barry brings a unique perpspective to Savannah and deserves to be highlighted.” About Kyle she exclaims, ” His attire is always impeccable, eye-catching and artfully chosen. He is a clear-cut, stylish icon.”

Wolfersperger’s work which includes drawing, printmaking and fibers works can be characterized in the same fashion; impeccable, eye-catching, artful, unique and stylish.

As she toggles between disciplines, she enthuses about the Savannah Windows project, “The project strikes me as genuine and an example of ‘true’ art. I’m so appreciate of the local people that make our everyday notable.”

Jose Ray soars under the radar to scope out and depict the quieter, lesser known cultural supporters and educators that inhabit our city; SCAD’s fashion professor Anthony Scott Miller, Soap on a Rope’s Brady King, and Muse Arts Warehouse’s JinHi Soucy Rand. Their kindness, down-to-earth dispositions and their “work about town” inspires Ray’s creative flight.

Ray offers this heartfelt sentiment, “It is people like these that make me want to live in Savannah and, in fact, to continue my work as a ‘Savannah Artist’.”
