Personal discovery and relationships guide the work of Alex Soto. His careful exploration of what we “know” is re-ordered and re-discovered through his reflections on Savannah, its artists and for this project, the Pulitzer prize winning poet Conrad Aiken and SCAD’s president Paula Wallace.
Savannah Windows is an ongoing project with the goal of integrating local art with local business. Our current project revolves around Vogue magazine's Fashion Night Out on September 8, 2011. Our hometown of Savannah, GA was selected as a host for this global event. With the help of the Creative Coast, Savannah Windows has partnered with businesses and residents along York street and Broughton street to create window installations celebrating the rich cast of characters from Savannah's past and present.
